The Headteacher’s Values Award was presented to Haris Ali, in Year 7.

Haris was nominated by Mrs O’ Malley, who wrote: “I would like to nominate Haris for Excellence. We are exploring Bollywood this half term and Haris is very enthusiastic as he explores this style within his culture. Haris watches many Bollywood films and has been exposed to this style from a young age. With this in mind, Haris has led his tutor group today teaching them actions used in Bollywood. Alongside this, Haris was teaching different sides of the room different actions to show action and reaction and was able to count them in and add counts to all their moves to improve the performers use of timing and speed which is very important for the style. Haris was very confident, projected his voice and led the class with clear verbal instruction and positive encouragement.

“I can’t wait to involve Haris more by leading parts of the lesson to help prepare students for their upcoming assessment. The group is very lucky to have such an inspiring and knowledgeable student in their class.”
