The Headteacher’s Values Award was presented to Abbey Sankey, in Year 10.
Abbey was nominated by Ms Lambert, who wrote: “I would like to nominate Abbey for the Headteacher’s Values Award. Abbey had an operation on her ear just before half-term and has had to spend a lot of her time working in the pastoral base, which isn’t always easy. The resilience she has shown in coming back to school and catching up on work she has missed is brilliant. Abbey works hard in every lesson and has started to attend the ones she is able to, and she consistently ensures she is up-to-date with the work set while working remotely.
“Abbey talks passionately about what she would like to do when she leaves school and is determined to get the grades she needs to become a paediatrician. Abbey is always quick to offer support to other students in the base, helping with any problems they may have with their work. Well done Abbey.”
It is wonderful to hear that Abbey has plans to work as a paediatrician and Ms Mannion has arranged an early careers interview to support her to work towards a career in this field.
