Headteacher’s Values Award

25 January 2022  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in:

The Headteacher’s Values Award was presented to Ellie Spencer, in Year 12.

Ellie was nominated by Miss Abbey, who wrote: “I would like to nominate Ellie for resilience. Ellie had a very challenging Year 10/11 at Richmond School and worked incredibly hard with the support of staff in the school to overcome those barriers to learning. Her determination and mental toughness enabled her to successfully gain a place to study at Richmond Sixth Form College.

“If you see or teach Ellie in and around college this year, you will see the positive change that she has undergone. She is a settled, happy and mature Year12 student who is currently thriving on the Triple CTEC Sport course. She has great relationships with her teachers and always responds very well to the feedback she receives in order to produce her very best work as she works towards her chosen career in sport psychology. As Ellie’s tutor for six years, it has been an absolute joy to watch her grow into a fantastic human. I am so proud of the positive and successful start she has made to Year 12 and she should be too.W
