The Headteacher’s CREDIT Values Award was presented to Amelia Atkinson, in Year 8.
Amelia was nominated by Miss Ridley who wrote: “I would like to nominate Amelia Atkinson for the values of excellence and creativity. Amelia is a member of the History club. The club’s recent project has been to work on two memorials and some research based on both world wars and Queen Elizabeth II. This work is included in Mrs Mawer’s Remembrance assembly this week.
“Amelia has really gone above and beyond when creating her group’s memorial. Amelia took it upon herself to put in hours of work at home, working with her Dad to build a wooden structure with mesh and papier-mâché to form the base of one of our memorials. Not only this, but Amelia has also taken an active role when leading her group and organising how and when sections would be made. All through this Amelia has displayed the utmost respect for the task and fully recognised the importance behind it. Well done Amelia!”
