HEADTEACHER’S CREDIT VALUES AWARD WINNER

The Headteacher’s CREDIT Values Award was presented to Ellie in Year 10.

Ellie was nominated by Miss Manning who said: “Ellie  is a consistently hard working, kind and helpful student, but she went above and beyond last Friday, showing great independence and a care for others that is a vital part of teamwork. The class was working in very hot conditions and I had become quite unwell due to the heat. Ellie quickly noticed kindly offered to get me a drink of water or medication from student services. When I did not improve and I suspected that I may lose consciousness were I to move, Ellie offered to fetch Mrs Harrild for me. Ellie remained very calm and Mrs Harrild was highly impressed with how efficiently and maturely Ellie explained the situation to her. The whole class handled the occasion admirably, working hard and remaining on task while checking in with me until Mrs Harrild arrived. The group was then re-roomed and behaved impeccably while cover was being arranged. Ellie, and the class as a whole, exemplified the best of Richmond School by making what was an unpleasant and unexpected experience much simpler and significantly less stressful for all involved with their kindness and consideration for others.”
