Gearing up for the big expedition!
Our hardy Bronze Duke of Edinburgh students have their main expedition this weekend. The tenacious and determined groups will set off from Muker and walk the 12 miles to Marrick Priory where they will camp overnight, before the final leg of their hike to Richmond on Sunday morning. They are hoping for better conditions than their practice expedition, when they braved torrential rain and high winds on a route that took them from Castle Bolton to Reeth, via a campover at Marrick Priory. Despite the inclement weather, all the students remained in good spirits, keeping each other motivated and did a fantastic job of putting their tents up and cooking their teas, even though it was raining! Thank you again to Mr Potter, Mr Birdsall and Miss Pemberton for giving up their weekend to support the students.
Wishing all the students the very best for this weekend – we know they are going to smash it!
