A group of Year 7 girls demonstrated a fantastic team spirit and in doing so came third overall in the area indoor football tournament at Northallerton. There were seven teams taking part and Richmond didn’t lose one game, and played to a very high standard. The girls were commended for how well they switched in and out of position in all their games, working at a very high intensity and fast pace as indoor football can be. They were strong and held their own throughout the competition and were regarded as a big threat to all the other teams. The girls worked fantastically together as a team and in and out of position. They responded to feedback and implemented it during every game or at half time, to adapt and be tactical depending on which team they were against.  There were outstanding performances on the pitch as follows: Beth Rutterford for stepping up and playing goal and playing superbly Charlotte Harrison as the nominated penalty taker and being calm and collected when doing so Goal scorers: Emma Farrow, Maddie James and Charlotte Harrison Fabulous defensive work from Katie Mulreany and Isabel Rutterford
