Fantastic team spirit of Year 11 netball squad

16 September 2019  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in:

The Year 11 Netball team travelled to Queen Mary’s School on 12th September to compete in the Hambleton and Richmondshire Area Schools Netball rally. We took a large squad of 12 players, many of whom had trained together since the start of Year 7. This five-year commitment from the girls paid off as we had only had chance for one training session this year before the rally! The students performed brilliantly and demonstrated fantastic teamwork and resilience throughout the afternoon. This five-year commitment from the girls paid off as we had only had chance for one training session this year before the rally! The students performed brilliantly and demonstrated fantastic teamwork and resilience throughout the afternoon. After battling hard in windy conditions, and against tough opposition, the girls were unlucky to come away with only one win and came in 5th place overall. All games were closely contested and the whole team rose to the challenges posed by the opposition and never gave up. Their team spirit, competitiveness and determination was truly commendable. Well done ladies!
