Fantastic potato book characters in World Book Day Challenge

07 March 2022  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in:

Congratulations to Archie (Year 9) and Elena, in Year 7, who came first and second place in our World Book Day Challenge to create a book character from a potato.

Judged by Mrs Potter, Mr Hedley and Miss Farquhar, Archie’s ‘Hungry Caterpillar’ took top honours with Elena’s Alice in Wonderland coming a very close second.

We hope you enjoy browsing the highly creative entries in the gallery above.

Mrs Weston, Lead Learning Manager, who organised the competition said: “I have been so impressed with the amazing ideas that the students had, they really excelled themselves with some very clever designs from Sherlock Holmes to Mr Bump! Thank you to all the students who took part and dedicated so much time to creating their characters with such careful attention to detail.”
