Excellent games of netball in Year 8 and Year 10 friendlies with Bedale School

Netball is very popular in Year 8 and so we have organised some friendly fixtures against local schools to ensure that all pupils attending training have the opportunity to participate in competitions. The game against Bedale proved highly competitive and very close with the final score seeing us narrowly missing out by 8 goals to 6.

The students worked well as a team, encouraging each other throughout. The shooters, Emily, Noah and Leah put in some great goals whilst the defensive team of Jamie, Oscar and Sophie prevented numerous goals from going in from the opposing shooters. Lastly, the centre court team of Isobel, Isobel, Annabel and Sophie worked tirelessly to move the ball around the court and support the whole team.

The Year 10 netball game against Bedale proved to be exciting from start to finish. The Bedale team were very well organised and went ahead in the first two quarters of the game. However, the Richmond team showed incredible resilience in fighting back in the third quarter to make it 15-15. Shooters, Ellen, Hannah and Lily pulled off some amazing shots. As the final quarter started, Richmond School took the lead but Bedale were always right behind and winning one back. The centre court team of Emma, Maggie and Evie had to work hard, showing their levels of fitness to keep the ball moving and our defensive team of Chloe, Sophie and Evie won more rebounds than ever before to keep us in the game. The game finished with a 23-23 draw which is a good reflection of an excellent game of Netball.
