Eve’s fundraising features in North Yorkshire Business and Education Partnership’s newsletter
We are delighted that Eve Walker’s wonderful work for Dementia UK has been featured in North Yorkshire Business and Education Partnership’s newsletter (NYBEP). Eve did her Year 12 work experience at the Nightingale Care Home, and this led her to volunteering there each week thereafter. She was motivated to shave her hair to raise money for Dementia UK.
Rebecca McCleary, Partnership Manager at NYBEP, reported that Eve is an inspiration and that her story demonstrates the benefits and impact of work experience. The article is featured in the NYBEP newsletter here
NYBEP bring the worlds of education and business together They understand both economic and education priorities in relation to schools, young people, businesses and employers and therefore ‘span the divide’.
Each year NYBEP connect with around 40,000 young people to provide work-related activities that focus on career exploration, employer engagement, information advice and guidance, developing employability skills and knowledge, understanding the value of STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) and raising aspirations. Last year they worked with over 3,600 businesses.
NYBEP work in partnership with Local Authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships, employers, schools and various fund partners bringing over £2,000,000 of funding to the North East region to deliver our programmes in the last 5 years.
