Learn about the importance of bees and have fun too at Foxglove Covert, the beautiful local nature reserve at Catterick Garrison. Join their free event for families on Saturday 1st October to coincide with the Big Green Week – a national celebration of Climate action. The event is being run in conjunction with the RSPB, the Climate Coalition, the Richmondshire Climate Action Partnership, the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, and Sustainable Swaledale.
The free event runs from 10am to 3pm. On the day there will be:
- Bee themed crafts and activities
- Seed bomb workshop
- Bilberry Bee Treasure Trail
- Build a solitary bee hotel
- Opportunity to learn about the Bilberry Bee
There is no charge for this event however, donations are always welcome. Light refreshments will be available to purchase.
