We are thrilled to hear from Erin Hutchinson, who has recently started a degree in Paramedic Science at Teesside University.
Only six months ago Erin was taking her A-levels in Health & Social Care, Geography and Psychology and this week she has been on her first night shift from 7pm to 7am with the ambulance crew! Erin did extremely well with her university applications, she also received a coveted offer from Nottingham Trent, only one of 40 places from 400 applicants.
Les Richardson, Head of Sixth Form, said: “We are delighted that Erin is doing so well in her Paramedic course at Teesside University. Erin worked hard during her A-level years, securing good results and offers from universities. Getting into any university to study Paramedic Science is very competitive but Erin was very determined and we are very proud of her.
“It is amazing to think that Erin is already getting “hands-on” experience with an ambulance crew, including night shifts. I am sure that Erin has a very successful and rewarding future ahead of her.”
