Enjoy a blind date with a book!

We are delighted to launch ‘Blind Date with a Book’, which is open to students of all ages and will run until we run out of parcels!
Mrs Farquhar, librarian, said: “Blind Date with a Book makes choosing a book an adventure. Students love the mystery of not knowing what they’re going to find when they unwrap their chosen parcel. It’s a fun way to encourage them to try titles, authors or genres that they wouldn’t usually consider and to venture outside their reading comfort zone. Even if there’s no immediate attraction, we encourage students to give their book a chance – after all, it could be a slow burner!”
Coming soon! Blind Date with a Podcast is an exciting new promotion for students who prefer to listen rather than read. It’s being put together by some of our Literacy Leaders and we look forward to sharing more about this project soon.
