DOUBLE DELIGHT FOR YEAR 7 BOYS FOOTBALL! 

Mr Swanwick, PE Teacher at Richmond as well as coach and manager of the Year 7 boys football team, provides this report from the last competitive game of a successful season:  

“The Year 7 boys football team finished their competitive season off in style with a hard fought 3-1 victory over Easingwold in the Area Cup final to make it an Area Cup double following their success in the area 7-a-side competition 2 weeks previously.   

The boys have really grown as a squad this season with 30+ students regularly attending after school football practice. Hopefully the interest will continue to grow into Year 8 as we move to the 11-a-side format which will allow more students to get involved.   

We still hope that we can organise some additional friendly matches in the summer term.”
