If so, and you are aged between 11 and 16 years old, then have you considered becoming a Young Ranger? We are fortunate to have two National Parks on our doorstep, the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors. Both organisations run a Young Ranger programme to enable students to take part in outdoor activities, such as tree planting, wildlife monitoring and seal watching, as well as attending a residential and gaining a recognised award! The volunteering is also recognised by the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
You can find out more about the programmes at both National Parks at the following links:

You can also find out more by reading the feature about our students Cassius and Brian who are both young rangers.
