Celebrate World Book Day by recreating a scene from your favourite book

08 February 2023  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in:

The countdown is on to World Book Day on 2nd March and what better way to celebrate it than by inviting students from all year groups to take part in a competition to recreate a scene from their favourite book.

You could depict your chosen scene in Lego, plasticine or cake…You could illustrate your scene in any art form you wish…pencil, paint, pastel or collage…You could dress up and act out your chosen scene…be as creative as you want – the only limitation is your imagination!

Students need to submit their entries to their English Google Classroom by Monday 27th February. A shortlist will then be announced, before the prize-winning entries for each age group will be revealed on World Book Day.  For further details, please refer to the instructions on your Classroom or speak to your English teacher.

It’s a perfect project for students to work on over the half-term break……what are you waiting for?!
