CALLING THE CLASS OF 1975 FOR A SCHOOL REUNION ON 21ST MAY 2022
If you started Richmond School in 1975, and left in either 1980 or 1982, then check your diary for 21st May as there’s a not-to-be missed reunion taking place at the New Comrades Club. If you would like to find out more and confirm you’ll be joining the party, then you can sign up at the reunion’s facebook page. Please browse the photos below which may trigger some memories and make you smile!
If you need a reminder of what your days were like back in the classroom, then please read on and hear from your former classmate, Jim Godfrey, who’ll set the scene for you!
Yes, it’s that time in your life! Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse, we’re going to take you back to a time when life was really miserable. To meet all those people you have, with very good reason, never once thought of seeing again. And just because 40 seemed like a nice round number, and 1982 seemed like such a lovely year. Really?
Thatcher on the throne, unemployment at its highest level since the 30s, war with Argentina, and the Eurovision Song contest, held by the way in Harrogate (look it up), and won by Germany!!
But on the bright side, 1982 was a year when you had everything to look forward to. So why not, now you have nothing to look forward to, spend a wonderful weekend with a load of old people you’ll only recognise because someone had the bright idea of handing out name badges
Even so, it will be FUN. Organised fun, but nonetheless ….
Let’s find out who’s aged the most? Who’s spent all day in make-up?? Who still has no sense of taste/humour/human decency? Come on, it’s got to be better than another weekend with your real mates!
And anyway, if you look this jaded for the 40th anniversary, what on earth are you going to look like for the 50th??
