Calling out for volunteers to help with the poppy appeal

21 October 2021  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in:

Each day, from 28th October and 14th November, between 9:30am-4pm, Tesco will be supporting the Royal British Legion’s poppy appeal. This year marks 100 years of the poppy being used as a symbol of remembrance and to show support for our Armed Forces. They require help to man the table at the entrance to the store to sell the poppies and are calling out to members of the public to lend a hand and support the poppy fundraising appeal.

Last year, volunteers from school were pleased to help, so if you can spare an hour or two, then please contact Julie, community champion by messaging her on facebook or calling 07753 790068.
