We are so proud of our students in the brass quintet who entertained at the Mayor’s concert last night. This was their fourth engagement representing the school in just six days, having already performed at the turning on of the Christmas lights, The Station Christmas Fayre and our own Christmas concert. The students are members of Leyburn Band and looked incredibly smart in their band uniforms. It is wonderful for our students to have so many musical opportunities. Well done to Freddie Lundberg and Tom Grigg (trumpet), Edwin Carr (baritone), Andrew Lunn (trombone) and Thomas Pyrah (tuba).
The students will also be performing at the school carol service in St Mary’s Church at 6pm on Thursday 15th December and you can catch up with Leyburn Band to hear much more of their fabulously festive music on:
Friday 16th December – 10:12:00 busking in Leyburn Market Place
Sunday 18th December – 7:30pm carol service at St Matthew’s in Leyburn
Monday 19th December – 7:30pm, Christmas concert at Tennants in Leyburn, with fireworks at 6:30pm.
Friday 23rd December – 10-12:00 busking in Leyburn Market Place
