BETH ACHIEVES TOP GRADE IN MUSICAL THEATRE EXAM

03 October 2024  |  Sven Wardle  |  Posted in: , ,

Beth Aitchison, Year 7 student at Richmond School, recently received the result of her Grade 2 LAMDA Musical Theatre exam.  She gained a Distinction – the top grade!

Beth (along with a number of other Richmond School students, past and present!) attends the Charlotte Jaqueline School of Dance, based at the Station, Richmond.

Beth’s exam involved singing two contrasting songs from memory, then answering questions about them. She chose to sing ‘Tightrope’ from The Greatest Showman and ‘Quiet’ from Matilda. She performed brilliantly in both parts of the exam as her score sheet showed an almost full house of distinction marks.

Beth will now move on to Grade 3 – the exam is in the New Year, as well as her Jazz Dance assessment.

Well done to Beth – we look forward to hearing more from her after her next set of exams!

We know there are many other amazing Richmond School and Sixth Form College students participating in a huge range of activities associated with the performing arts both at school and out in the wider community. We are always happy to celebrate their achievements and success – just send us their stories!
