AREA FINALS – YEAR 3 AND 4 CRICKETERS COMPETE FOR A PLACE IN THE COUNTY FINALS

11 June 2024  |  Sven Wardle  |  Posted in: , ,

Richmond School Sports Partnership hosted the Year 3 and 4 Richmondshire Area Cricket Finals recently. Schools qualified for this event by achieving first or second place in the first round of competitions, played just before half term. There were separate competitions for boys and girls in Years 3 and 4.

Many Thanks to Bedale, Brompton, Hipswell, Le Cateau, Michael Syddall, Reeth and Gunnerside, Richmond St Marys and Wavell for supporting this event.

The games were officiated by Sports Leaders from Years 8 and 9 at Richmond School. They confidently communicated with the staff and pupils from the primary schools, fairly and consistently applied the rules and scored each match ensuring that a presentation could be held at the end of the day.

The top 2 girls teams and the top boys team from each competition have qualified for the county final which will be held on either Tuesday 11th June or Wednesday 12th June.

Congratulations to Richmond St Marys who qualified in the boys competition and Bedale and Michael Syddall who qualified in the girls competition.
