Apprenticeships case study – Swale Scaffolding
Swale Scaffolding have four former students doing apprenticeships, with Cameron, Tyler and Harley in their first year and Matty in his second year. We were delighted to visit Matty, Harley and Cameron on site, together with Aaron Pepe, to see them at work and to find out more about how they are getting on – you can watch their video HERE.
Aaron, Contracts Manager and alumnus of Richmond School, said: “The lads have all settled in really well. They are motivated, quick to learn and are highly regarded by their colleagues. Matty has now achieved his part 1 scaffolding training so is able to start erecting scaffolding, with Tyler, Harley and Cameron achieving their COTS course training and now on the road to being awarded their part 1 next month. They are working in two-men teams on sites across the North East. We will be taking on more apprentices this year and we are looking forward to working with Richmond School to promote these opportunities with their Year 11 students.”
