AN AMAZING FUSION OF DANCE STYLES BY CHARLOTTE JACQUELINE SCHOOL OF DANCE
Our Year 9 students were blown away by the energy and excellence of a stunning dance performance by our students who train with the Charlotte Jacqueline School of Dance. ‘Wake me up’ was a fusion of all the styles offered at the school, including ballet, contemporary, commercial and tap, playing to the students strengths as they took part in the sections they studied. You can watch the performance here.
Charlotte Porter, principal of the Dance School and former student, said: “It’s so lovely to be back at Richmond School, especially to celebrate their National Dance Week! It’s fantastic to see the arts being so well promoted and seeing so many students enjoy dancing, long may it continue!”
Eleven students took part in the dance – thank you to: Freya, Alice, Ellen, Beth, James, Emily, Fran, Katie, Serena, Daisy and Emily
Nicola O’ Malley, dance teacher, said: “Established in 2017, Charlotte’s business has grown by offering many different styles of dance. It was a pleasure to invite her dance company to the school and share their talent and professionalism. It was also lovely to see eleven of our students on the stage performing with passion and to a high technical standard. We will look forward to inviting them back in the future to share their amazing work.”
