ALUMNI RETURN TO OFFER A FLAVOUR OF OXBRIDGE

29 March 2023  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in: , ,

We were really pleased to welcome the schools’ liaison teams from Oxford and Cambridge Universities and former students James Roberts and Florence Hall. The teams spoke to a group of Year 12 students and also a group of Year 10 and 11 students in two separate sessions. They talked through the teaching styles at Oxford and Cambridge and also what it is like to live and study at those universities. They dispelled myths and were open and honest about the application process and expectations. It was lovely to hear the first-hand experiences of James and Florence, who started their studies at Oxford in October.

Sally Byrom, Head of Year 12 and 13, said: “We are very fortunate to have such close links with Oxford and Cambridge Universities and we are so grateful for the regular visits from the liaison teams who support our students every step of the way through the application process. This session was a general introduction and we look forward to welcoming the teams back in the autumn term.”
