ALL THE WORLD’S A STAGE – CELEBRATING WORLD THEATRE DAY
01 April 2022 | Jill Lundberg | Posted in: Performing Arts
We are enjoying celebrating World Theatre Day during assemblies this week. Mr Birdsall and Miss Manning delivered an inspiring presentation about the magic of theatre which looked at the benefits of theatre on health and wellbeing. You can browse the assembly here.
Mr Birdsall said: “In a world where we have had so much doom and gloom, I thought it apt to theme the assembly on the magic of theatre, looking at why theatre is so magical through stagecraft and in its portrayal of current issues and themes within society.”
The assembly comes hot on the heels of our Theatre groups performing three shows at The Georgian Theatre and as workshops and auditions are underway for our November production of Alice in Wonderland: he Curious Pantomime. We have a thriving Performing Arts department at Richmond School and are loving being back on the stage.
Keep your eye out for a line-up of performances coming up after April, kicking off with our ‘Return to the Stage’ dance showcase on Thursday 28th April.
