ALICE IN WONDERLAND: MEET ALICE

29 November 2022  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in: ,

Introducing Alice, our leading lady, performed by Georgie, in Year 13.

What do you particularly like about your character?

I love Alice’s curious and courageous character. She is always up for the adventure and tries to stay optimistic through all the ups and downs of the show.

Have you performed in any shows before, if so, please tell us a little about your experiences?

Yes, I love performing. Most recently, I was Louise in Richmond Operatic Society’s Carousel which was a wonderful experience. I performed as a young company member in the Georgian Theatre pantomimes for four years and on November 20th I danced on a West End stage with Stagecoach.

What are you enjoying most about being part of Alice?

The group of people and the general atmosphere. I always come out of rehearsal feeling significantly happier then when I first entered. I can always have a laugh with everyone else.

What is your favourite moment of the show so far?

The un-birthday party in Act two. It’s a huge scene, which shows Alice and The Queen of Hearts meeting for the first time and I always find it so enjoyable.

Why should you buy a ticket to come and watch Alice and Wonderland?

So much time and effort has gone into this production and it’s Richmond School and Sixth Form College’s first big show post-Covid, It will give you lots of laughter and joy, so why not?

The show runs from 30th November to 2nd December. Tickets are priced £9 for adults, £7 for children (age 16 and under) or £30 for a family ticket (2x adults and 2xchildren). They are available here.
