A taste of life in Sixth Form

18 October 2021  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in: ,

We were delighted to welcome over 500 Year 11 students and their families to our recent open evening when we showcased our outstanding learning opportunities, enrichment activities and facilities. Extending a very warm welcome, Jenna Potter, headteacher, and James Roberts and Florence Hall, headboy and headgirl, outlined the many reasons why there has never been a better time to consider Richmond Sixth Form as the first choice for post-16 studies.

Florence and James not only highlighted the exceptional academic success of the college but also the many student leadership opportunities. Mrs Potter presented the huge amount of support available through our award-winning careers’ department, our amazing alumni network who share their expertise and knowledge with the students as well as the very close links we have with the community – all of which combine to bring exceptional educational and life experiences for our young people.

Jenna Potter, Headteacher, said: “It was an absolute joy to welcome students and their families to college. My thanks go to our fabulous student leaders and staff who were on hand to discuss subjects in depth, as well as offer any advice about life at college.

“At our college, we put our students at the heart of everything we do and we know all of them very well. Every student is challenged and supported to reach their full potential through high-quality teaching and tailored advice and guidance. However, there is more to sixth form than exams and we develop our students to have confidence in themselves and their future by enriching their time with us through our extensive range of extra-curricular, student leadership and careers opportunities.

“We hope all our guest students enjoyed a glimpse of life at Richmond Sixth Form College and we can’t wait to welcome them to start their studies with us next year.”
