A strong performance from the Sixth Form First XV

The Sixth Form First XV rugby squad put in a strong performance against Carmel Sixth Form College. It was a closely-fought game with some excellent playing and teamwork. The final score was 26-21 to Carmel, however this doesn’t do justice to the game and Richmond’s high standard of rugby on the pitch. It is a commendable result especially given that the team only has two players who play each week for a club. Some of the team members have played in the past, however many of them have never played a game. Despite this inexperience, the training that the students have been attending since September has clearly made an impact and the team should be very proud of their game and the result.
