A-level Business and Media Studies Students plan for their visit to Disneyland Paris

Our Year 12 Business and Media Studies students are planning for their forthcoming trip to Disneyland Paris on 31st January. The A-level Business Studies students are researching the branding and marketing techniques that Disneyland use and are working through a dedicated work book in preparation for a series of workshops at the famous attraction.  Meanwhile, the A-level Media Studies students will be learning about media conglomerates and how The Walt Disney Company makes use of vertical integration to control all stages of the production, marketing and distribution processes.  Mrs Weston has set a competition which challenges all students to work in teams to make the best short vlog of the trip.

Mrs Clish, Lead Teacher for Business Studies and Economics, said: “The students are incredibly excited about the visit to Disneyland Paris. They are working really hard with their planning activities as they are mindful that we are packing so much into a short space of time and they want to make the most of every hour. This is a fabulous opportunity for the students and a fantastic way for them to experience first hand the principles of marketing and branding in such a high-profile business.
