NETBALL THRIVING AT RICHMOND SCHOOL – OVER 100 STUDENTS INVOLVED!
Netball at Richmond school continues to grow in popularity, with over 100 pupils accessing the training sessions this year.
Year 7 and 8 training takes place on a Tuesday after school and Year 9, 10 and 11 training takes place on a Wednesday after school. All pupils are welcome to turn up – no booking process is required.
Within the last month all year group teams have played a number of matches against Bedale, SFX, Northallerton and Thirsk schools. These are friendly fixtures to allow the pupils the opportunity to compete for their school team.
We’ve seen some incredible performances as the students develop in confidence and have been rewarded with a range of excellent results, both in the form of wins and losses. These friendly matches are excellent preparation for the Inter Area tournaments that are coming up after Christmas.
The two photos are of the Year 8 and Year 9 teams – more photos and match reports to come in the New Year.
