As a Student, to give myself and others the best possible chances of learning at Richmond School, I will:

• attend regularly, on time and properly equipped for work;
• do all classwork and homework as well as possible and not disrupt the work of others;
• value the resources provided to me, including the internet, by using them with care and only in support of my learning;
• respect the views, wishes, feelings and needs of others;
• be polite, supportive and helpful to others;
• wear the uniform of the School and keep a tidy appearance;
• show care, responsibility and respect for our School, its equipment and surroundings at all times;
• use my planner with care and show it to parents and school on a regular basis;
• make sure that letters and messages given to me are passed on promptly;
• maintain high standards of behaviour travelling to and from School.

As a Parent, I/we will support our child(ren) and Richmond School by:

• emphasising to my child(ren) the importance of a good education for a happy and successful life;
• ensuring that my/our child attends regularly and punctually;
• ensuring that (s)he wears the correct uniform and is properly equipped;
• contacting School promptly about things which may affect or influence the education, behaviour or attendance of my/our child;
• supporting the School’s Code of Conduct and behaviour requirements, including the approved sanctions of the School;
• supporting my/our child in doing homework and private study;
• reading and signing the planner weekly, and reports when received;
• doing my/our best to attend parents’ evenings and other meetings about my/our child’s education and progress;
• making every effort to stay informed about the School.

If students, parents and school all work together on these common goals, then school days will be happy, positive and successful.
