The stock is constantly updated and staff and student suggestions are welcomed. In addition to books we have 30 networked computers with Internet access / DVD’s / CD/Roms / daily newspapers and magazines / Topic Files of newspaper articles/ printing and photocopying facilities.
The library has a computerised catalogue and issuing system and we can quickly locate/reserve items as required. Most items may be borrowed for home study and reading.
Activities
The library has constantly changing displays to highlight resources including new stock. We run a monthly Scholastic school book club and hold a wide variety of competitions and quizzes throughout the school year. A regular Library Newsletter featuring library events is posted on the school Intranet. The library is especially popular at breaks and lunchtimes when students can read and exchange books, read newspapers and magazines and seek assistance with homework research. In addition the main library is open after school Monday to Thursday for quiet study and Internet research.
