Richmond School’s U13 Cricket Team Become Yorkshire Champions

Richmond School’s U13 Cricket Team Become Yorkshire Champions at the Indoor Finals Played at Headingley.

Our Year 8 students went to Headingley, the home of Yorkshire cricket, for the Indoor County finals.  They had won two previous tournaments earlier in the year to become North Yorkshire Regional Champions.  Several members of the team had also experienced playing at Headingley before, having been beaten in last year’s semi-final.  This year they were fully motivated and determined to win the cup.

Students from Richmond School have been inspired by a visit to CERN, home of the Large Hadron Collider.

During the visit on 3rd February the students discovered how CERN is helping to answer some of the most fundamental questions; how did the Universe begin? What are the basic building blocks of matter?
