Important Information for Sixth Form Applicants
Students applying to the Sixth Form should look at the block diagram of subjects offered to check that their choices fit into the timetable. This can be viewed by following the Sixth Form link on the left and then clicking on Prospectus.

School Uniform
Thank you to all parents and students for responding to our drive towards all students wearing the correct uniform from Monday 20th February.
You will be aware that we wrote to all parents before the half term break in February and also put an article in the Newsletter informing you of our commitment to see all 1224 students (not including 6th Form) in full uniform. When we returned to school on Monday 20th February the majority looked terrific, with only 37 students failing to be in full uniform. By Thursday 23rd February all but 6 students were in full uniform.
I would like to thank all parents and students for their efforts, as we appreciate at times that purchasing appropriate trousers and skirts is not easy when students are growing so quickly. We are looking to source a school skirt and trousers for girls in the near future and will keep parents informed of this as soon as we can. I know that the school has an outstanding reputation for standards of behaviour and the way students conform to the dress code and I fully appreciate that this is due to the partnership approach between parents and the school.

Queen’s Diamond Jubilee
Parents will recall that we informed you in the last Newsletter about the School closing a day early this summer in lieu of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Because we have now been informed that the day had already been included in the published schedule, we will therefore be closing at the end of school on 20th July.
School is open as usual on Friday 20th July 2012
