To: Parents/Carers of Year 9
Dear Parent/Carer
As you are probably aware our new school building is progressing well and it is hoped that we shall be moving in during the summer holidays 2010. This new building will have a state of the art school dining facility.
At present we are exploring ways of how best to manage the school meal’s service when the whole school is on one site from September 2011. It is anticipated that all students in Years 7-11 will remain on site for the lunch period from September 2011.
However, prior to this arrangement students in Year 10, commencing September 2010, will be able to join students in Years 8 and 9 in accessing the new dining facility and will therefore remain on site. This will obviously mean that current Year 9 students will continue their existing arrangement and not be permitted off site at lunchtimes next academic year.
The Governing Body has agreed that this decision supports the school’s commitment towards the safeguarding of all students and we do hope that students will enjoy the new dining facility.
